For specialists in pot still and whiskey distilling, we offer this high-quality product at more than affordable conditions. This offer is not cheap because we do not use substandard Chinese steel. Quality has its price, and with this offer we have fallen below this price.
With a burning volume of 22 litres, this offer is the cheapest that can be offered in this quality.
A fine-mesh filter screen to prevent the burning of mashes with residual starch is already included, so as is an indispensable high-quality stainless steel thermometer. The only rectification element in this still is the large-area helmet. This ensures maximum aroma content, but it also requires a high level of burner experience. The distillate is not concentrated more by means of amplifiers, which naturally entail loss of aroma, but by multiple burning of the substances. As a rule, 3 distillation runs are usual for whiskey production. Very experienced distillers manage to produce high-quality distillates with two distillations. Those who do not dare to do this should rather resort to column systems or column + dephlegmator systems, in which the separation of pre-run and post-run is easier. However, these systems are generally much more expensive because the manufacturing effort is correspondingly higher.

  4. Foldable mash strainer to avoid burning. In the case of mashes with residual starch, it is recommended to additionally put a boil-proof linen cloth (kitchen towel) on the mash sieve to filter out the starch. It is best to fill a layer of water under the mash strainer. To identify the risk of scorching, either do an iodine starch test or take a small amount of liquid mash and heat it in a small stainless steel pot to identify the risk of scorching. If you use a suitable pectinase in addition to whiskey malt, you also reduce the risk of scorching.
